SDAV role
Participant

SDAV took part in the International Religious Freedom Summit 2026 in Washington D.C. According to the organisers, more than 1,700 participants from 87 countries, 143 speakers and 82 partner organisations attended. For SDAV, the summit was an opportunity to exchange with international institutions and organisations.

The IRF Summit is an annual international gathering in Washington, D.C. that brings together representatives of governments, institutions, civil society and business around fundamental rights, dialogue and international cooperation. The 2026 edition took place on 2 and 3 February at the Washington Hilton, with plenary sessions, panel discussions and meetings on the sidelines of the programme.

SDAV was invited and took part as a participant. For a Swiss employers’ association with an international vocation, the summit offered direct contact with international institutions, foundations and organisations, and an insight into the institutional setting in which cross-border cooperation develops. Switzerland is SDAV’s institutional base; its perspective is international.
